The barristers in short pants strike again. Greg Forster writes from Wisconsin:

I just read the post on Law Is Cool where they respond to my little "There is no Mark Steyn" joke, which you were kind enough to post on your website. It contains an error that you might want to correct for the record.
 
When they copied my note from your website and posted it on theirs, they added a hyperlink to my name that links to this website. The site lists a "Greg Forster" as secretary of the Elisha Raymond Chapter of the Wisconsin Society Sons of the American Revolution. No doubt they Googled "Greg Forster" and "Wisconsin" and got that website.
 
But I am not that Greg Forster! I am not now, nor have I ever been, the esteemed secretary of the Elisha Raymond Chapter of the Wisconsin Society Sons of the Revolution. I have never even been a member. I just moved to Wisconsin a few months ago.
 
Alas, that other Greg Forster's e-mail address is on that website, so he may now be getting tons of hate mail from liberal Canadians and have no idea why.
 
Since they have his address, you would think the Law Is Cool guys would have gotten in touch with that Greg Forster to see if he was the same Greg Forster who wrote to you. It's called "fact checking." They may have heard of it.

Now, now, Mr Forster. I'll say it before the Law Is Cool experts do. You have failed to establish that you are not the secretary of the Elisha Raymond Chapter of the Sons of the Revolution. You cannot point to one scholarly peer-reviewed article by an acknowledged expert in the field stating conclusively that you have never been a member of the Sons of the Revolution. The membership rolls of the Wisconsin branch are a notorious and discredited hoax that no serious academic would accept. And your attempt to suggest otherwise is just the usual smoke-blowing from Steyn's fellow middle-school dropouts. After all, as we know, the Law Is Cool guys "know how to do research".
