Mark Bourrie, magazine writer, is a tad uncomfortable at being sufficiently broad-minded to defend the narrow-minded:
I believe in pushing free speech as far as possible -- for Ahenikew, for Zundel, for Levant, Steyn, for all of them. I doubt any of them feel the same way.
Well, gee, you're the magazine writer. Why not try a bit of research? You could start here or here. I'll take on all comers in the marketplace of ideas and the notion that I'm so terrified of dissenting viewpoints that I need to call in Shirlene McGovern, the CHRC, the CRTC or any other bureaucratic plonker from the overbearing Canadian state is preposterous. But you might more usefully pursue it with the CJC, Warren Kinsella and the other speech enforcers.
