Programming note: Tomorrow, Sunday, I'll be here with Part Seventeen of the new audio serialisation of my highly prescient demographic bestseller, America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It.
~On this week's edition of Mark Steyn on the Town, we preview the year to come via an extended edition of our Sinatra Sextet - also featuring along the way Dean Martin, the Dingaling Sisters, Tommy Dorsey, Eileen Wilson, the Pied Pipers, Gene Kelly, Rosemary Clooney and Duke Ellington.

~As is our custom come Christmastide, we've been celebrating the season with special episodes of On the Town's regular features. Fans of our Café Continental can find our Christmas edition here - and those who prefer our Café Imperial can find our Boxing Day edition here. Pat Duva, a First Day Founding Member of The Mark Steyn Club, says:
I always enjoy these special musical presentations. Thank you for all of them through the years.
Of our Continental Christmas, Linda Powers, a Kansas Steyn Clubber, writes:
Two things stand out on Saturday's Cafe Continental on Serenade Radio: the Carol of the Bells history with the rendition you shared ~ WOW! and when you played the Smurfs tune. My Dutch husband Peter was putting together a Lego poinsettia plant at the time, and the first phrase in Dutch snapped his head up with a huge smile on his face while he joined in the singing. What fun! Everything else was entertaining too.
Of our Café Imperial Boxing Day Bonanza, Nicola Timmerman, a First Year Founding Member, enthuses:
Wonderful collection of songs! Haven't heard Nova Scotian Rita MacNeil for ages who died in 2013.
Terrible story about Roger Whittaker's parents.
And one more - on our Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols, from First Fortnight Founding Member Steven Iles:
Amazing as always, look forward to it every year and never disappointed.
