Once elected, he will bring about the devastation of the country with open borders, multiple stabbings, and a mosque replacing St Stephens Basilica. Hi Mark,
I have a question about the political climate in Quebec and how it will be affected by the recent events in Venezuela. The only thing propping up what remains of the Canadian dollar is the energy sector of two Western Provinces, but that is now in grave jeopardy due to the likelihood of an increased flow of heavy Venezuelan crude into the US.
Ottawa, Quebec and BC have consistently prevented Alberta and Saskatchewan, the source of those sweet equalization payments, to be able to sell to anyone but the Americans. The case for Western secession just go a lot stronger. The question is, will Quebec figure out that they are better off within a weak but viable country, or should they secede from what may soon become effectively a ghost country? Add in the new muscular US foreign policy (e.g. Greenland) and could Quebec figure out that they should save Canada for their own economic and cultural sake?

As a formerly proud Canadian, I've followed Donald Trump's commentary on Canada becoming the 51st state with great interest. As someone who has also been caught up in the dirty, stinking rotten, corrupt US "justice" system, I understand all too well America's shortcomings, but still feel that, on balance, Canada would be better off joining the US than it is continuing on our current march into the warm collective embrace of the Chi Coms.
I've recently read that President Trump is taking Canadians' repeated land acknowledgements very seriously and, with that in mind, is now approaching Indigenous leaders directly to negotiate the purchase of Canada. Talks are currently stalled over purse splits on casino income and the size of the skidoo fleets that will be included in the exchange, but overall, things seem to be proceeding well for establishment of the Big Five One.
Does this mean that I should now be participating in said land acknowledgements in order to hasten the process? Up to now, they have only induced nausea in me, but this puts them in a new light.

I have to admit that I've grown tired of the USA playing "diplomatic" while China, Russia, Iran and others have been asserting their influence all over the globe, including on America's side of the planet. Perhaps it's time for a little imperial whoop-arse, particularly to shore up our hemisphere before Europe implodes (or explodes) under the weight of Islamification and Russian threats.
Trump has single handedly altered my view about the use of tariffs (for both economic and peace pursuits) and expending our blood and treasure abroad with nothing to show for it (no spoils of war, if you will).

As it pertains to Venezuela, there sure seems to be a lot of folks on both sides of the political aisle claiming, "Here we go again, another attempt at regime change". We'll have to wait and see.
But what's wrong with going in and getting the bad guys when they threaten our national security, and then getting the hell out, and warn them as you leave to the tune of, "If you do it again we'll be back!".
The Powell Doctrine "If you break it, you own it" is crap. Let them fix their own mess.
If we had taken that approach 've suggested in Afghanistan we would have lost fewer lives, saved a lot of money, and very likely have fewer national concerns from Afghanistan. And that goes for all the other countries we tried regime change.

Looks like Trump is using the Venezuelan oil to force the remaining interim government officials to fund a civil restitution plan to pay for their malfeasance.
This seems to be a different approach than the Bush Administration when we took over Iraq.
Bush had a chance to take a lot of iraqs oil and use it towards the rebuilding of that country during the Iraq war.
Instead it seemed that he agreed with the democrats and that stupid slogan of no blood for oil mantra.
We used our own money to pay for that war and got nothing out of it.
I'm guessing the Trump administration is trying to take a different approach to Venezuela.
Looks like a pretty solid plan so far.
Only time will tell if this pays off.

But that is nothing compared to the recent NY City law that was passed that effectively prohibits landlords from selling their properties unless they give right of first refusal to some NGO corporate entity which, no doubt will be run by Somalians.

Hello Mark,
So, the man that Democrats and mainstream media wanted to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency has decided he is not suited to run for another term as Governor of Minnesota.
As for the fraud in Minnesota and elsewhere, a quote attributed to the late political philosopher Eric Hoffer seems applicable: "Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket."
Much of government spending is largely a racket, especially when funneled through the middlemen such as NGO's.
The profit motive is often villainized. However, I would rather deal with a party who has an incentive to make profit from our transaction than someone who has no financial self-interest at all.
Therein lies the problem with government spending. Those that administer it have no incentive for efficiency or effectiveness. Rather, the more spent is viewed as a success. Thus, fertile ground for fraudsters, especially those that come from cultures that celebrate fraud, and not just limited to Somalia.
Subsidizing childcare is but one on a long list of things that should not be a function of the federal government.
If they desire, state and local governments should fund childcare by asking their own taxpayers to fund it. Only then, might there be accountability.
