Hello again and welcome to this week's edition of Laura's Links.
Every time I think we have put a nail in the coffin of "trans" another bit of that massively evil Wokestapo darkness pops out of the damned pine box. I wonder if any of the most recent "trans" mass murders will cause any "affirmer" or "ally" to abandon ship?
As I put it in our comment section to Mark Steyn Club member Denyse O'Leary, I have been thinking a lot about the mother of that terribly tortured, and disturbed, murderous young man from British Columbia. Why? Because a lot of her social media posts were published and they are truly horrifying (along with the predictable parental alienation of the child's father at the hands of the affirming mother).
The mother's choice to buy into the lie for whatever reason, and to actively and clearly enthusiastically enable the chemical mutilation of her mentally ill child, to cheer it on and be very public about this lie led to bloodshed and murder and was the cause of her own death and her children's death.
How could that possibly, ever, ever be "worth it"?
I really do wonder if any other parents of "trans" individuals are actually being at all introspective right now, but I fear not.
There will probably be much more doubling down, even if the proven price is more murdered children and murdered parents.
Can the lives of any others be saved from another episode of trans mass murders?
These transsacres (yes, I just made that up) are predictable and preventable.
As my fellow Canadian, Sheila Gunn Reid of Ezra Levant's Rebel News put it earlier this week - we have the cure already. The cure for most cases of even the most severe cases of gender dysphoria is helping gender confused young people go through puberty naturally, with support. Not "affirming" the mental delusion. Not enabling it. Not by injecting them with cross-sex hormones and not by lopping off body parts. Letting them grow through it naturally is the answer.
But instead of being committed, another seriously ill and dangerous young person was enabled ("affirmed").
This is such absolutely evil stuff and I know I sound like a broken record player but we need to defeat this, and bury it in the annals of bad medicine forever and ever.

In other news, I'm getting ready for the Jewish holiday of Purim which has lots of festival holiday components. And watching the news lately, I'm wondering what President Trump is going to be up to for Purim. The plot is definitely thickening. I cannot make any predictions about his plans, I'm just keeping my eyes and ears on the situation.
So happy Purim in advance to all our Jewish readers. And you know what Purim means...it means Passover (and Easter) is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER and I have no inclination right now to start getting ready for that. Gah!

We need to institutionalize - not "affirm". Bethany Mandel had a good point earlier this week in a spot on FOX News. She said that when schizophrenics are ill, we don't say "oh yes, I hear those voices, too", or when anorexics are ill "oh yes, I see, you do look very fat in those pants", but with "trans" one is supposed to "affirm" the mental illness. This needs to stop. It's starting to stop, but we are not there yet.
