Greetings and welcome to this week's batch of Laura's Links and Happy Thursday.
I had to cook up and finish the Links at a higher speed than usual during the wee hours of the morning today because I got pretty busy yesterday providing substitute-level hosting of The Mark Steyn Club's Live Q&A Around the Planet while Mark attended to some very important post SOTU clean up business in Washington, DC.
If you missed the live show, feel free to check out the replay here.
We talked about all kinds of interesting things, and I reminded you all that if you haven't already signed up for this year's Mark Steyn Cruise, you better do so quickly because it's getting really, really full. You won't want to miss it!
We spoke a little bit about the State of the Union address during the Q&A and I talked about how President Trump is an excellent story teller, and his team has an exquisite ability to pick the right people to tell the right story. They go by the "show, not tell' axiom of good journalism and writing.
Good writing lets people make up their own minds, based on what they see, rather than being scolded, etc. But the other thing about President Trump that is indisputable is that he cares about Americans, and that he loves his fellow Americans. I saw this clip earlier this week and I think it really demonstrates something about the President's heart. This is why people love him.
Remembering and truly caring about the bereaved Americans who lost loved ones because of the disgusting open borders policies of the Biden era is important. It is important and frankly, a holy pursuit to publicly reject and repudiate the horrendous sympathy and open arms that were the previous policies of the federal government. It is important to denounce and change the policy of welcoming in the very worst human barbarians from some of the most primitive and backward societies into the Western world.
And it is critical, now more than ever, to put the pedal to the medal on re-migration programs. Time is running out for formerly civilized nations.
And on that happy note, Happy Purim to all our Jewish readers around the world, I'll give you a full report of the festivities next week.
Have a great weekend and I'll see you in the comments!

The "grooming gangs" of Canada.
Epstein File Scalps: Here, here and here. Dropping like flies! I may need to open up a whole new category here for EpScalps. Good times.
"Off the record" really is supposed to mean off the record but hey-what do I know?
