Can any good come out of Trump's Iranian adventure? One is allowed doubts. As the mess drags on, isn't it possible that the side effects of all this will bring pressure on the American/ Israeli axis to back down? As some are suggesting, this might end up being Trump's Suez Crisis moment were the limits to American power are clearly shown.

Trump has been loved by his America First base because he deals with big problems that Americans have despised for 40-plus years, like unfair trade, open borders, over-regulation, high taxes, and many more.
Regarding the 40-plus year Iranian problem, I think many Americans believe that Trump's team also has a plan with a high probability of success, and that we should all wait to know the plan's details until they are executed.
As with the above big problems, isn't it possible that other patterns of the last half century, including "long-established air-power assumptions", have intentionally been promoted by the Military-Industrial-Tech-Media-Finance-Academic Complex that benefits from those patterns, such as forever wars?
Many Americans dislike the Pentagon's political nature, but as you observe we love our soldiers, often because we personally know them. President Trump is loved by the soldiers, and he has employed them with great results so far, despite the Pentagon.
Can't it be reasonable for us to give Epic Fury the four to five weeks of patience that Trump requested?

Mark, we watch with interest as the Iran war continues. What can you win by raining ordnance from the sky? My late father, who was a pilot in the Air Force's Strategic Air Command and who did two-plus tours in the Vietnam war used to say that dropping bombs is not sufficient. You must have boots on the ground. Of course, that was before precision bombs that could effect an assassination of a foreign leader if you could determine where he is.
In Iran, we have assassinated the leadership by smart-bomb, destroyed a bunch of the military, allowed the Strait of Hormuz to be closed to traffic by what is left of the military, and created a lot of questions about the end game to this war. Trump is clearly committed to avoiding boots on the ground; hence, the only logical outcome seems to be that we've gotten rid of an Ayatollah with little but chaos to follow until a new order arises, and that new order could be just as bad or worse than the old order. What's your assessment and prediction?

As far as Iran is concerned, while I was surprised by President Trump's actions, I am not opposed. The economic and military security of the United States has been greatly damaged by Iran in collaboration with the domestic terrorism operation called the Democrat Party. Democrats' leftist treachery (from JFK to Biden and all of them in between) over the last 75 years must be avenged. President Trump has begun this war with Iran, and now he must ensure that Iran's military and government are completely, entirely destroyed, no matter the cost. Anything less than complete victory will be catastrophic to the US and the Western World.

However, I've just recently been gaining an appreciation for what AI can do already, as well as the pace of improvement. And it's certainly given me pause for thought.
I can certainly see a scenario where so many tasks that humans do today will be better done by AI. It's not crazy to think that the AI becomes better at everything.
I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Trump could declare victory (I'd recommend avoid the phrase "Mission Accomplished"), setting back Iran's nuclear program and substantially devastating their missiles/drones infrastructure. Then he could pivot back to imposing his Western Hemisphere's Donroe Doctrine, with Cuba next on his hit-list... leaving Bibi responsible for his ongoing Iranian punchcard and the Persians a genuine opportunity to throw-off the burka.

Good afternoon,
You may implicitly assume my good wishes for your recovery, health, and longevity.
Why do so many on the conservative side (such as, say, the person you see in the mirror) seem to think they are smarter than President Trump? I dare say he (and his advisor) are completely aware of the objections to the Iran accountability action, as it were.
If you care, here's my summary of objections that those making them implicitly assume they know more or can better evaluate them than 47.
• No imminent threat. Wait until a nuclear bomb is tested? A dirty bomb explodes? We are finally seeing a reckoning for 47 years (gotta like that number) of terrorism, murder, maiming, injury, destruction, and insult. There is no statue of limitations in international affairs.
• Stockpiles being depleted. Armaments were in relatively short supply (c.f., Ukraine) and far, far too expensive (c.f., Military Industrial Complex) before 47, this situation was widely discussed by 47, and actual steps are being taken on both.
• Quagmire risk. Of all recent presidents, I take 47 at his word.
• Mid-term election risk. Maybe doing this in March allows for completion in time for voter amnesia to kick in.
• Domestic agenda. Has there ever been a president with such consummate ability to keep dozens of plates spinning simultaneously? Has there ever been such a (mostly) skilled and experienced cabinet?
• Congressional distraction/inaction. Anyone paying attention knows Thune is a problem and Johnson is at best neutral. Iran changes nothing here.
• Israel setting policy. This isn't 45 where a uniform seemed to impress the president. Trump, as a person, generally could not be pushed around. If anything, as 47, he has shown himself to be more resolute. I am coming to believe Israel may even have been used to seem like it was forcing his hand.
• Splitting the base. 47 knows nothing succeeds like success. Look for a thousand fathers. And maybe lots of foreign-funded orphan podcasters / influencers.
• The long game. 47 is relentlessly pursuing Red China on so many vectors it is hard to enumerate them all (see "spinning plates" above). Iran, I believe, is a key part of 47's long game to diminish China.
In sum: I suggest you give war a chance. If the action materially exceeds the original five-to-six-week timeframe or nation building starts up or there are major losses, I will be the first to say I got it wrong.
Yours forever in hope and joy,
-- Jeff

I would love to know your thoughts about what's going on in the latest city to fall to the Muslim conquerors, our own NYC.
In a triumph of Islamic intersectionality our dog-hating, antisemitic Muslim mayor of NY City has appointed
a "trans woman" named Taylor Brown—a man posing as a woman—to be the city's first director of the new Office of LGBTQIA + affairs.
In introducing the new LGBTQIA director, Commie Mandami made no reference, as he often does. to the Quran or his Islamic faith.
Mandami, a go-as-you-please Muslim, cites the Quran only when it suits his purposes. Back in February, Mandami received lots of applause when he stated that Islam was a religion built upon a narrative of migration.
According to the new director, his/her stated goal is to make New York "a global haven for queer life." What the new Muslim migrants will think of this emerging queer Mecca is another story.
Maybe they should have given this some more thought. According to Pew Research, in those countries that produce a steady stream of migrants to America—Pakistan, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon—only 1 percent think homosexuality is "morally acceptable." As Mandami should know, even consensual same-sex acts are criminal offenses under Sharia-based law.
Watching the s**** hole that this once great city has become in such a short time, it feels like there's no coming back from this. Hard to believe that 9/11 was just 25 years ago.
Some Muslim-ruled countries, Iran among them, carry out state-sanctioned executions for homosexual acts. For all his queer rights bluster, Mandami is not moved by the fate of Iran's queers or its women. As a Democratic cuck, he has called our efforts to liberate them a "catastrophic escalation" and an "illegal act of war." No surprise here.
Queers may be for Palestine, but will Palestine be for Queers
