Happy Easter!
Early this morning, we reprised a favourite entry to our Mark Steyn Club anthology of video poetry: In this edition of Steyn's Sunday Poem, Mark looked at the background of T S Eliot and then read part of the second of his Four Quartets. Mark adds:
As is traditional at SteynOnline, we have my thoughts on The Passion of the Christ and the burning of Notre Dame, plus Victor Hugo with the bells of Easter morn. And we also have some Franco-German-American contributions to the Easter songbook on this week's edition of Mark Steyn on the Town. Because of the season, this week's episode of my twentieth-anniversary audio adaptation of America Alone will air a couple of hours later than usual.
In case you missed it, here's last week's episode of America Alone. You can also catch up on all past episodes here.
Meanwhile, here's how the rest of the week looked at SteynOnline:
~ With a nod to National Vietnam War Veterans Day in the United States, "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town" served as Steyn's Song of the Week.
~ On Monday, Mark offered this thought for the day from the playwright George S Kaufman upon the German invasion of the Soviet Union: "I think they're shooting without a script."
~ In Tuesday's column, Mark considered the greatest military strategist since Alexander the Great.
~ Mark was back behind the Clubland Q&A microphone on Wednesday fielding questions from Mark Steyn Club members live around the planet. In case you missed it, here's the action replay.
~ On Thursday, Laura Rosen Cohen was here with her excellent round-up of links from the internet. Plus, a word on Passover.
~ And, Rick McGinnis was back at the weekend with his 250th column at SteynOnline. This week, he reviewed George C Scott as "Patton".
Don't forget to tune-in later today for Steyn's Song of the Week at Serenade Radio at 5:30pm in the UK/ 12:30pm North American Eastern Time.
