Hello once again and welcome to a special Wednesday edition of Laura's Links. Keep reading to get the latest schedule for this week at SteynOnline!
While Mark continues to rest and recuperate, we here at Steyn HQ are doing a little bit of shuffling of the schedule. Obviously, none of us can fill the Great Prophet's shoes, and we know everyone misses him terribly, but we are taking very good care of SteynOnline and want you to know that there will be some new and exciting things happening here over the coming days.
So please take this as your official heads up that later this week we will have an honored, familiar face joining us with a stellar column on a matter of culture. And then next week, we will introduce you to a brand new guest voice; a brilliant compatriot of Mark's (and a dear friend) who will be published here at SteynOnline for the very first time.
No spoilers, though. Both of these guests are meant to be a surprise and there is literally nothing you can do to pry the secrets out of me! And when I say nothing, I mean NOTHING.
Well, that is to say nothing except Hermès scarves!
(Believe it or not, this did happen once - a delightful reader from NY sent me an original Hermès scarf, in the orange box, with all the little cards in the little orange card box, that she no longer wore because I talked about them so much. If this hadn't happened to me, I might not believe a story such as this but it's the truth. It was not a bribe, however, but an extraordinary gift.)
Anyway, all this to say that save an immediate request for my address to send me an additional Hermès scarf, you'll have to check back here dutifully to check out the familiar face and the "newbie" who will be joining us, but I promise neither will disappoint.
And apropos disappointment, you will have to suffer through another hour or thereabouts of me guest hosting the Live Q&A Around the Planet this week.
Yes, Da Evil Juice are still in control of the mic while Mark rests up. And this week, our Live Q&A will be taking place tomorrow Thursday, May 28 at 3:00 ET.
That means that this column is both a heads up and a chance to put your questions for the show tomorrow into the comment section below. We will pull your questions for tomorrow, and endeavor to get to as many of them as possible during the show. Hopefully, there is something within the Links below that tickles your fancy, makes you laugh or cry, or irritates the crap out of you - it's all fair game so have at it.
Do have a read of the Links, drop a few questions into the comment section along with any other comments and I'll have a go at them tomorrow.
Remember, listening to the live show is always free, but only members of The Mark Steyn Club can comment and leave their questions below.
See you tomorrow at 3:00 ET!

North America:
Thomas Massie turned on Trump.
"Cenk is fully algorithm-brained..."
Seth Mandel: On "Jewish money" in American politics.
Is money the problem or Jewish money? And if money bought the election, why didn't Kamala win? JUST AXING QUESTIONS.
This should work out just fine.
Canada is a Culture of Death. "A Quebec physician has formally suggested assisted suicide for infants - babies from birth to one year old with severe deformities and syndromes." Parents "should have the opportunity" to have their newborn killed.
Everything is great in Toronto.

The Formerly Great Britain:
Choices. "Top line" editorial choices.
They "somehow" got into the country, to "somehow" sexually assault an 11 year old girl. As another X user said (I paraphrase), how many Europeans do you know who you think would a) sexually assault an 11 year old girl and b) have a friend who would hold down an 11 year old girl to help a friend sexually assault her? Is there anything redeeming about Afghans? Anything? Your evil government wants you and your children raped and murdered. It is not possible to come to any other conclusion.

These files will be opened in Neveruary.

Human Grace:
Fifty Books Every Child Should Read Before Twelve.
Judson's Last Ride. This is absolutely exquisitely beautiful and painful and I wish I had written it myself instead of just feeling it and shedding tears about it quietly.
