Hello one and all and welcome to this week's edition of Laura's Links.
As you know, my distinguished host, the great Prophet Mark Steyn, PBUH (Pocket squares Be Upon Him, ameeeeeeeen ameeeeeeen) recently promoted me from "In House Jewish Mother" to "Sinister In House Jewess". You'll note that I skipped the "Uppity" payband entirely! And that, my friends, is one of the many reasons why you always need a good Jewish lawyer negotiating for you. Anyway, I'm very chuffed about my new credentials, but am not feeling particularly energetically sinister right now. I'm tired! Fortunately, one of the kiddos was good enough to bring me a cup of tea and I'm hoping to call it a night shortly.
I may have mentioned an expression that I heard recently from a Rabbi, who said that ruminating on the past means living with resentment and ruminating on the future means living with anxiety, and that's why it's very important to focus on living in the moment. I think it's pretty good advice and not too "wooo wooo" if you know what I mean.
I've been trying to incorporate some small, and some larger, changes into my daily life in order to curb anxiety. I'm normally a two coffee a day gal, but I think that as a woman of a certain age, I might be a little more sensitive to caffeine. I'm trying out a one coffee a day plan, and nothing caffeinated in the afternoon or evening, and seeing how that works for me. Have any of you ladies and gentlemen out there experienced changes in your relationship with coffee and/or caffeine over the years? (And how has that worked out for you?!?!). What else do you all do to curb anxiety? Exercise, prayer and baking are my go-tos.

Further to the topic of antisemitism, I saw this quote from Dennis Prager and I thought it was worth posting here right up front. First of all, it is totally miraculous that Dennis Prager is alive, and it is amazing hearing him speak about how grateful he is to be alive, even in his current quadriplegic state. It's quite humbling to listen to him speak about his situation and how grateful he is to be alive, and how he is thankful because he still feels like he has much more to contribute. Anyway, I think he is certainly right about societies that tolerate rabid Jew-hatred. It never ends well for them, or the Jews, and that's why I worry about America. The situation in Canada is already in the toilet and it's not going to get better. What we are talking about, as Dennis Prager rightly describes, is a predictable cultural indicator with a long, proven history.

Lastly, on a more humorous note, you must watch this: I love this so much. I can't stop watching it. I still can't believe that we have to actually discuss the fact that there are differences between men and women that no pronouns, or surgeries can ever change. This creepy, anti-human cult is at the beginning of its end, but videos like this perhaps can push the cultural envelope along. Or shove it along as far as I'm concerned!
Now have a great weekend, and I'll catch you in the comments.
