This morning, many woke to the shocking news of the sudden death of US Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina). He apparently died at his home in DC shortly after returning from a trip to Ukraine. As club member Josh Passell observes over in our clubhouse:
Lindsey Graham died yesterday, apparently of a heart attack. We held him in low esteem here, but I'd like to remember him at perhaps his best: opposing the "high-tech lynching" of Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation.
"When you see Sotomayor and Kagan, tell them that Lindsey said hello because I voted for them. I would never do to them what you've done to this guy. This is the most unethical sham since I've been in politics. And if you really wanted to know the truth, you sure as hell wouldn't have done what you've done to this guy"... Rest in peace, Lindsey Graham.
Further to another recent shocking death, the police in England have just given a non-update update regarding the arrest last evening of a 28 year old man from Rotherham in the brutal murder of Ann Widdecombe. In short, it was essentially "nothing to see here..."
