Today is the two-year anniversary of the disgraceful verdict by a DC jury against Mark in Mann vs Steyn. Since when, the court reduced the punitive damages from 1M to 5k and sanctioned Mann for presenting false data to that same jury. That sanction - in which the judge determined Michael E. Mann lied to the jury - was upheld recently.
Predictably, Mann has appealed. Not because his case any merit. But, because, as Mark often says - the process is the punishment - and Mann who has had no skin in the game from the very beginning appears to be funded by an unlimited pool of dark sugar daddy money.
Alas, there are no dark sugar daddies here at SteynOnline. This site - this club - this defense of free speech exists because of you, our loyal members. Thank you.
This week we welcomed new, renewing and returning members from Alabama, Alberta, Arizona, Ayrshire, Belfast, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Denmark, Florida, Hampshire, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ireland, Kansas, Kent, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, London, Louisiana, Manitoba, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Yorkshire, Oklahoma, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Powys, South Norfolk, South Yorkshire, Surrey, Sussex, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Yorkshire and beyond. Thanks to Mark for his tireless work. I enjoy all he does but especially love the music shows as, more times than not, they unearth a fond memory of my music loving, WWII era dad. Here's to another year! Thanks also to everyone that makes all he does possible. - Julianne
Montana
Michael Mann is **** in so many ways. Mark is principle and profound in even more. Thank-you. - Joe

May you overcome Mann vs. Steyn with some sanity remaining! - Michael
