Thank you to everyone who came to see Mark and the great Dennis Miller on their first ever tour together, packing out the beautiful Santander theatre in Reading, Pennsylvania and the Kodak Center in Rochester, New York, and doing brisk business in Syracuse and Wilkes-Barre, too. Among the two thousand theatregoers at the Kodak Center on Friday night, we were thrilled to see so many Canadians from just across the border, and so many Mark Steyn Club members from as far afield as New Mexico.
Meanwhile, in case you missed it, here's how the last seven days looked to Mark:
~Mark's Monday Notebook considered voiceless sound men, womanless women's sports, and a Sousa seizure: it was our most-read piece of the week.
~On Tuesday Steyn checked in with Rich Zeoli on WPHT in Philadelphia to chew over Bernie Sanders' bewilderment at finding himself out-woke by every johnny-come-leftie in the Democrat field. Click below to listen:
Thanks to Rich for introducing Miller and Steyn in Wilkes-Barre last night: He did a great job.
~Midweek brought a dramatic hearing at the House of Commons in Ottawa, a conviction in Melbourne, and the death of André Previn: Mark addressed all three topics.
~On Thursday, just ahead of their appearance in Wilkes-Barre, Miller and Steyn were interviewed by Patrice Wilding of The Citizens' Voice on comedy, commentary, and the blurry area in between.
~On Friday Mark presented a special video edition of Tales for Our Time: L M Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables, with a guest appearance by former presidential candidate and lifetime Anne fan Michele Bachmann.
Tales for Our Time is made possible thanks to members of The Mark Steyn Club, for which we are profoundly grateful. You can find more details about the Steyn Club here. And don't forget our special Gift Membership.
~For our Saturday movie date, Mark mourned the passing of legendary director of Charade, Singin' in the Rain and many more: Stanley Donen.
If you missed the Miller/Steyn Adorable Deplorable Tour, we'll be announcing new dates soon - and for West Coast Miller/Steyn fans there's always the second annual Mark Steyn Cruise.
A new week at SteynOnline begins tonight with our Song of the Week.
